CutLength Planner · Support
Plan your cuts.
See what's left.
A practical guide to your cutting plans, saved projects and one-time Pro upgrade.
Start with the stock you have
Create a project, enter stock lengths and quantities, then add required lengths, quantities and optional labels. Set kerf and the minimum length you consider a reusable remnant. Generate the plan and check it before cutting.
Use one project for one compatible material and cross-section. Different stock lengths in that project must be interchangeable.
Understand the cutting model
Plans cover straight cuts along length only. Use millimetres or decimal inches. There is no sheet nesting, angled-cut calculation or fractional-inch input. Stock ends are assumed usable; no end trim is added.
Each separating cut uses the full blade width. The last cut is skipped only for an exact fit at the stock's end. This conservative rule can reject some arrangements a skilled worker could make. Plans are heuristic suggestions, not a guaranteed optimum.
Keep projects on your device
Save from the editor or results screen. Open saved projects from Projects. Use New project for separate work; identical names can belong to separate projects.
Calculation, saving and PDF creation work offline. Projects have no app-provided cloud sync or recovery service. Uninstalling may remove local data. A shared PDF is a readable plan, not an importable project backup.
To remove a saved project, use its Delete action in Projects and confirm. This removes the saved record; drafts and previously exported copies are separate.
Free and Pro
Free includes up to 10 individual required pieces per calculation, one saved user project, the built-in sample and basic PDF export. A quantity of 6 counts as 6 pieces.
CutLength Pro Lifetime is an optional one-time iOS purchase for up to 500 pieces and multiple saved projects. Both tiers use the same cutting engine. There is no subscription; iOS purchases do not transfer to Android.
The app displays the price supplied by the App Store. Check Apple's purchase confirmation before confirming.
Restore a purchase
- Connect to the internet and open Settings & Help using the gear button.
- Tap Restore purchases. Complete any Apple prompt privately, using the Apple Account associated with the purchase.
- If the store is temporarily unavailable, check connectivity and use Retry store connection, then try Restore again.
Previously confirmed Pro can remain available offline. Restore recovers the upgrade, not deleted projects. Do not uninstall or clear storage as a first troubleshooting step.
Export and share a plan
Generate a complete plan, then tap Export PDF. Use the iOS share sheet to choose a destination, such as Files. Local PDF creation needs no network; a cloud or messaging destination may need one.
If export fails, keep your project, close the share sheet and try again. Report a repeated error with the exact message. Copies saved outside the app are managed in the destination you selected.
Get help
Include the app version, device/iOS version, the action you tried and the error text. If useful, reproduce the issue with a small nonsensitive example and include its units, lengths, quantities and kerf.
